Shipping Policy

We ship across India from Thane. Luggage is bought against a departure
date, so this page is written to let you count backwards from it.

How the timings work

Handling is 1-2 business days — from a confirmed order to the carton leaving us. Transit
is on top: 2-4 business days to a metro address and 4-8 business days elsewhere. Added
together that gives 3-6 business days to a metro address and 5-10 business days elsewhere, which is the figure quoted everywhere on this site.
Working days exclude Sundays and public holidays.

Buying for a trip. Order so the bag arrives several days before you fly, not
the day before. That leaves room for a delayed carrier and, more usefully, room to send it back and swap it if
the size turns out to be wrong once you have it in front of you.

Packing

Suitcases ship in the manufacturer carton. Soft bags and backpacks ship in a sealed mailer or a carton
depending on size. A hard case can arrive with light marks on the shell from transit; that is normal for luggage
and is not damage, and we say so here rather than argue about it later. Cracks, broken wheels, split zips and torn
fabric are damage, and those we replace.

On delivery day

  • Look at the carton before you sign. If it is crushed or torn open, refuse it and tell us.
  • Open it and check the wheels, the handle and the zips before the packing goes in the bin.
  • Report damage within 48 hours of delivery to
    care@travelplaza.shop. We replace or refund.

Tax

Travel Plaza is a small online retailer and is not registered for GST:
turnover stays below the applicable registration threshold in India, so registration has not become compulsory.
GST is therefore not charged separately on any order, and no GST tax invoice carrying a registration number can
be issued. The figure printed beside a bag is the whole amount payable.

Orders placed after 3:00 PM IST are picked up the next working day. We do not dispatch on days the shop is closed or on public holidays, and delivery windows are estimates rather than guaranteed dates.
